One thing that many of my clients suffer from is a lack of self-confidence. Does this sound familiar? If you are doubting yourself or feeling awkward in different situations, then you’re probably suffering from a lack of ability to love yourself as much as you should! So, how can you rectify this? Here are some suggestions:

Pay yourself a compliment every day

The first step to take is paying yourself a compliment every day. For real. Look in the mirror and say something genuine and heartfelt. This could be something nice about what you’re wearing or your personality. It could be something positive about the day you are going to have or what you have already achieved so far.

Focus on fun

Laughter is the perfect remedy. Think about how good you feel after having a good laugh! Concentrate on doing things that make you smile. What makes you happy? What sort of things do you find fun? Think about these things, and do them more often. This will improve your life in so many ways.

Embrace your true sense of style

Be who you want to be. Ask yourself: what is my look? It doesn’t matter whether you are buying a pair of jeans or glasses, being true to the person you are will make you feel a lot happier and more confident.

Don’t compare yourself to other people

Comparison is the root cause of all evil. I know how easy it is to compare yourself to others, especially on social media. Yet, it is important to remember that when you look at someone’s profile, you’re not seeing their true life or identity. You are seeing a snapshot of what they want you to see.

Surround yourself with people that make you feel good

There are two types of people in life: firstly, you have the people that bring you up and make you feel good about yourself, and secondly, there are those that can bring you down. True friends are those that want you to succeed in life. They encourage you to do things that are fulfilling. Don’t let someone else’s negative energy dull your sparkle.

Improve your sleep

Make a considerable effort to enhance your sleep. Do you find it difficult to sleep at night? You may be surprised to learn how much of an impact your sleep can have on your feelings and your confidence levels too.

So there you have it: steps you can take to ensure that you are giving yourself the love and kindness that you deserve. We are all unique in our way and show others your gifts with confidence.
